We are currently working alongside a leading Facilities Management organisation to recruit a Head of Fleet to their UK & Ireland Procurement Team based out of their Surrey Site

The Head of Fleet will be responsible for leading and directly overseeing an available and optimised vehicle fleet that meets the operational needs of the organisation while remaining compliant with statutory legislation

Key Responsibilities include;

Maintain records, proving that the fleet is compliant with regulations whilst demonstrating value for money.
Maximize fuel economy and manage the fuel card usage.
Implement, maintain and develop policies and processes to ensure fleet operates effectively and efficiently, educating staff with the industry's concepts, practices and procedures.
Create a suite of measures to show continuous improvement throughout all areas of Fleet Management.
Provide leadership, coaching, and line management support to a team of Fleet co-ordinators to enhance their development to succeed in their roles.
Build a collaborative approach and trusted relationships between the Fleet department and internal and external stakeholders, partners and suppliers.
Continually and pro-actively reviewing developments and best practice in the industry to identify potential improvements in efficiency, customer service and safety compliance.
Driving continuous improvement in performance measures, including related costs year on year, including fuel usage, driver hours and damage from driver accidents.
Ensure all vehicles are compliant
Carry out risk assessments on fleet compliance
Anticipate, manage and resolve risks and issuesIdeal Candidate;

Experience of working successfully in a senior Fleet or Transport role
High level of IT literacy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to rapidly build and lead diverse teams through change by way of strong interpersonal and highly developed leadership skills.
Excellent stakeholder management skills
National/International CPC holder
Operational experience in a Fleet/Logistics/Transport environment
