Streamline Services are currently recruiting for a Logistics Manager for our client based in Tilbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a face-paced and dynamic logistics company.
OBJECTIVE OF THIS ROLE:
Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by running an effective logistics network in the UK, Europe and rest of the world.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Member of Operations Team
* Manage 3 team members
* Relationship management with the companies 3rd party distribution partners in Europe, USA and Asia
* Effectively forecast site throughput volumes
* Manage site inbound booking schedules and manage against resource plans
* Identifying opportunities for improvement within the logistics team and its relevant processes
* Ensuring logistics operations run to schedule
* Ensure trades are delivered and invoiced within settlement calendar timeframes
* Ensure logistics paperwork and administrative tasks are processed in a timely fashion
* Management of freight network (primarily in mainland Europe) including temperature controlled services and options
* Support Senior Warehouse Manager and Head of Global Operations on developing logistics services in new markets
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Management experience
* Excellent communication skills
* European operations and logistics experience
* Understanding of warehouse operations
* Understanding of customs processes, particularly relating to excise goods
* Understanding of temperature controlled transport preferred
* Experience of undertaking process reviews and leading change management
HOURS:
07:00-16:00
