Core Group are currently recruiting for a Logistics Manager to join one of the UK's biggest residential and commerical developers.
What will be expected:
To take responsibility for all aspects of the logistics supply chain, stores management, development and optimisation of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the project. The logistics manager will be required to manage the movement of people, goods and equipment at the construction site and control site facilities management.
Responsibilities:
Planning and delivery of operational transport activities through your Transport Team Managers, to ensure the required level of service is provided to the customer
Accountability for overall productivity within the operation, ensuring that activities are cost effective and levels of resource are managed effectively
Maintaining and improving performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI’s
Effectively motivate, manage and inspire your Transport Team Managers to develop and grow the skills of their teams
Analysing customer feedback/information & propose innovative ideas to enhance the overall function
Driving forward the continuous improvement of the operation
Working within the departmental budget to own and achieve targets
Ensuring that all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented
