Logistics Manager – 12-month FTC
Cheshire
£50-55k
A global building products group with 4 sites and 400 employees across the UK. They have been through a period of rapid growth and need a Logistics Manager to improve their warehouse and distribution channels at their Cheshire site.
Responsibilities:
* Coach the existing logistics team to improve operational performance, including developing and monitoring KPI’s
* Ensure resources are utilized effectively to deliver project on time and within budget
* Build strong working relationships with transport partners and eternal warehouse providers
* Implement lean methodologies and guide the existing team to become fully autonomous
* Work with the Site Operations Manager and other operational heads to ensure capability is built in preparation for customer needs
* Continually review the business processes to ensure they are optimal
* Inventory management for materials on and off site
What we are looking for:
* +3 years management experience in warehousing, logistics or supply chain
* Lean/Six Sigma qualifications
* Logistics/supply chain qualifications
* Experience in a change management
* Budget management
* Management of multi shift teams of 80+
* Strong experience with ERP systems
