I have pleasure in advertising a role as a Logistics Manager for my client in Saffron Walden .
Established in 1995 my client have crafted a team of people who make the difference. Each one is passionate, positive and painstaking about what they do. Key skills required are:-
Good Leadership
Motivational and people management skills
good timekeeping and time management skills
attention to detail
good planning and organisational skills
positive can-do attitude
ability to work to deadlines
ability to manage departmental budgets
a team player.
You must have experience of transport and warehouse management and leadership skills and be able to manage the logistics department and the team within.
You will be managing a team of 12 staff and in charge of 7 trucks.
Ongoing responsibilities and Duties are as follows:-
Managing the team performance and motivating staff
Ensuring KPI's are met
Planning and routing of delivery runs
Organising additional transport and labour
Liaising with the sales team regarding any issues
Maintaining the warehouse and yard areas
Commercial fleet
