As infection prevention has become a global priority, the demand has increased for our innovative, reliable products across new industries and new countries.
As a result of our continued growth trajectory, we're looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our Operations team. This role is critical to ensure inbound stock is proactively managed and delivered to our customers on time.
What will you do?
Take ownership of GAMAs UK inbound volume after goods have been received
Regularly visit our warehouses to support building great relationships with our 3rd party logistics provider
Create successful working partnerships with our inbound logistics provider, warehouse and transportation teams as well as key customer accounts e.g. NHSSC and NSS
Proactively manage all inbound schedules, including seasonal spikes and public holidays
Collaborate with our China Operations team to manage product flow from manufacturers to the UK, or direct global customers, are in line with GAMAs demand strategy and budget
Ensure that once containers have docked at port, a route to market or storage is secured
Provide Operations Executives with regular updates and information regarding customer deliveries, and ensuring we have all relevant documentation for accurate and timely invoicing
Lead investigations into all claims relating to warehouse and distribution activities, typically on site

What will you need?
Demonstrable success in a Logistics Manager role within a regulated product-industry with multi-channel experience is essential
In depth knowledge of warehouse solutions, freight optimisation and distribution channel management
Previous success delivering cost savings in the logistics process
Exceptional organisation and time management skills to coordinate all deliveries in a timely manner
Experience of Warehouse Management Systems, preferably SAP and JDA/Blue Yonder
Working knowledge of customs clearance and Incoterms is desirable
Ability to communicate and build strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
An appetite to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organisation
