Experienced Production Manager required for an awarding winning manufacturer and supplier of promotional and marketing products situated in Farnham Common.
The main purpose of the role will be to manage the fulfilment of customer orders; planning and organising production schedules, ordering raw materials and supplies, monitoring and supporting the manufacturing process and ensuring all health and safety regulations are met.
Suitable candidate must Drive and be comfortable working from a home based office with a manufacturing site in a small team.
Role:
Responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes, making sure goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.
Ensure that staff always adhere to the site safety, technical and hygiene procedures
Managing supplier contracts
Ordering parts and components for the production process from suppliers
Purchasing raw materials as necessary
Identifying areas of waste and work with the team to reduce and eliminate
Managing stores and reducing stock levels without the risk of shortages or outages
Reviewing production workflows to improve effectiveness in the context of our growing business
Establishing quality systems and reporting on production effectiveness
Supervising and supporting production and machine maintenance where necessary
Maintaining regular and proactive contact with the Key Account & Office Manager and Company Directors
Requirements:
Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Projects Word, Excel including good IT skills.
Systems and process orientated, with good attention to detail
Previous experience in production supervision or materials planning
Good communication skills - spoken, written and electronic
Respectful and engaging line manager – min 3 yrs line management experience
Friendly, flexible approach
Hours: Monday - Friday. 9:00am to 5:30pm
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000
