We are recruiting for a talented Sales & Logistics manager to join an innovative company who carry out a range of services within cement, power, waste to energy plants across UK, Europe, South East Asia and America. The key purpose is to communicate, organise, prepare and plan all movement of machinery, inventory and people from one site to another efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Submit quotations for large scale projects within strict timeframes. Follow up on submitted quotes.
* Negotiate and agree contracts
* Organise projects
* Integrate with European subcontractors to arrange teams for each project
* Organise flights, accommodation and transport
* Work closely with freight companies to arrange and ensure the efficient movement of machinery and equipment across global destinations.
* Maintain metrics/KPI’s and analyse data to assess performance and devise plans for improvements
* Maintain warehouse stock levels
* Prepare paperwork for regulatory bodies and H&S
* Manage the administration responsibility of the logistics department, ensuring systems are maintained and updated.
* Build and maintain good rapport and excellent relations with key contacts and customers.
* Communicate precisely with the key figures within the projects to ensure smooth operations
The Person
* 2+ years experience required within logistics/supply chain
* Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to be concise and transparent in your instructions
This role offers the option of occasional travel to various global sites.
Fast moving industry with huge scope for career progression as projects increase
Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm (some flexibility available) with the option of 1 day per week working from home. Cookstown area based.
