Salary: £75,000-£85,000pa plus senior package

We are supporting them in the search for a Senior Raw Materials Logistics Manager to own and deliver their service delivery function for suppliers. You will be responsible for the allocation of third party logistics partners to the supply base, supporting all of their needs. These logistics services are a service proposition and have a network of strategic partners to be managed which have multiple contracting models. These include full service packages as well as development of the self-haul division.

The primary objective of this area is to deliver a safe and efficient service to the suppliers at the lowest sustainable cost. You will therefore be leading a team of logistics professionals to deliver a high service in a cost effective manner. As the senior lead you will, alongside other departments, regularly tendering logistics from providers and building partnerships. Managing and building key relationships will be important to its success. You will be responsible for performance management of logistics suppliers, holding them accountable and introducing/managing KPIs to analyse and guide. Importantly you will integrate internally with operations and the Head of Raw Material to optimise decision making and internal business planning processes.

In short, we are looking for an experienced logistics professional who has worked in a complex supplier/supply chain environment. You will be used to working in a fast paced ever changing environment with strong leadership and influencing skills. Strong transport and warehouse operations understanding is critical while also managing third party logistics providers through your career. Good communication skills is a must due to the variety of stakeholders. Having agricultural experience would be highly advantageous.
