smartpro, part of the Smart Solutions Recruitment Group have a permanent opportunity for a Site & Logistics Manager to join our client based in Bromsgrove
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will oversee management and overall control of Site, Transport, Operations & Workforce.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Managing staff and allocation of workload
* Ensuring the staffing are sufficient to carry out the agreed processing the forthcoming shift
* Ensuring the workers within your control are health and safety aware including visitors
* Ensuring all staff are sufficiently trained and have a full understanding of the tasks/objectives required.
* Maintaining a safe working environment within the workplace & leaving it in a similar condition at the end of the business day.
* Being both Operationally and safety aware in the workplace, notifying the H/S department in the event of any concerns relating to these areas when seen or in the knowledge of events happening
* Liaising with and representing the worker in times of concern or dispute
* Adhere to company operational procedures to maintain an efficient and quality process facility

* To ensure/maintain the upkeep of vehicles and driver records in line with the company operator’s licence
* To understand & ensure both UKF/JPC stocks are maintained and managed in line with the company system (Factory Master)
* To ensure a daily upkeep of the Site along with both housekeeping and initiating/participating in continuous improvement
* Site security – Alarm contact along with weekly reviews (site walk rounds)
* Liaising with other departments including Maintenance, Production, Sales, Quality & Director’s
* Any other ad-hoc associated duties deemed appropriate by any/all Directors within the business
Experience & Skills Required:
Essential
* Health and Safety awareness
* Geography/Logistical knowledge
* Leadership / Staff supervision / line management experience.
* A calm, fair and rational personality.
* Able to work individually and as part of a team.
* Level of computer literacy relevant with your role.
* Problem solving.
* An attitude, outlook and motivation geared towards the identification and adoption of continual improvement in both your individual role and for the betterment of the company overall
Desirable
*
Previously managed/worked within a factory, warehouse or logistics environment.
*
HR knowledge and skills.
*
Managing conflict within the workplace.
Shift Pattern
9.30am – 6.00pm (Monday – Friday) flexibility will be required as per business needs
