Are you a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a CIPS Qualified Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to join an established company that supplies outdoor garden equipment based in Telford. Salary £45k-50k plus excellent benefits, you will be working Mon-Fri 8-5.30pm.
As Supply Chain & Logistics Manager you will have 5 direct management level reports and be reporting into the two UK Directors initially. You will be responsible for determining the optimum levels of cost and service in the Supply Chain to best support the strategic business objectives.
You will have overall management of Procurement, Suppliers, Inventory and Distribution ensuring commercial and operational performance managing and leading continuous improvement. You will have to build effective relationships with internal customers and external suppliers as well as supporting any planned new business proposals.
This is a brand new role so you will need to ensure correct management and supervisory structure is in place, key measures and reporting is in place enabling quick identification of problems or emerging trends. You will develop operational plans to copy with growth, season variations and changes to product profiles.
It is essential to have previous experience in a Supply Chain & Logistics senior management level position and you will have achieved the CIPS Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply. Previous knowledge of logistics systems including ERP is required with a good understanding of transport limitations and regulations. This is a fast paced role and will require you to have attention to detail, great communication, excellent planning skills and strong team management ability.
