As a Temporary Logistics Manager reporting to the Operations Manager based in Pudseyyou are required to ........
Main job purpose:
Overall management responsibility for all the logistics in the company
Operational responsibility at Pudsey Decontamination centre.
Responsible for submitting the logistics requirements for tenders.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Responsibility for meeting the customer turnaround specifications in relation to Logistics
* Responsible for ensuring all logistics legislative requirements are being met – Driver hours, “O” License,, vehicle MOT and servicing etc.
* Manage, and monitor the department Key Performance Indicators, to actively improve KPI’s
* Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures
* Responsible for ensuring day-to-day operational activities are being managed in line with the written logistics
* Processes.
* Responsible for the management of the Portering services provided by the company.
* Maintain a suite of data capable of measuring performance of the Production shift teams. Ensuring consistent feedback to key stakeholders.
* Maintain an up to date knowledge of equipment and Production operations such they effective support is available, as is appropriate to the demands of the business.
* To identify and support “Continuous Improvement” activity across the facility. Ensuring effective communication to, and engagement of Team Leaders and Supervisory teams in the Continuous Improvement activity.
* Work with the production team to ensure that the Decontamination Facility operates in such a way as to comply with International Standards as required by the Medicines and Health Regularity Authority (MHRA)

CPC certification

Supervisory

Tachographs and vehicle >7.5 ton
Route planning
KPI’s and budgetary experience
Commercial awareness
Excellent written and Verbal communication skills

6. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
PC literate – Particularly Excel using formula and pivot tables
