The job of a Vehicle Transport Coordinator
As part of a team of professionals you will ensure the delivery of the Service level agreements for our customers through coordinating the customer service activity on site, including working with the Estimators and Workshop Controller, transport coordinators and customer service advisors. As part of the management team you will manage and lead the front line teams to deliver an exceptional standard of Customer Service to ensure the smooth end to end process of the collection and delivery of vehicles and the effective management of the transport resource.
You will report into our General Manager, who has been at Nationwide for many years. He is as passionate about Customers as he is about his team and is absolutely determined to make his Bodyshop the best in group. It’s an amazing team!
What you will be doing
Our Bodyshop is fast paced and exciting with lots of opportunity to make an incredible difference and apply your expertise and skill. In the job of Vehicle Transport Coordinator your duties include:
* To manage work in progress job status and job summary reports. * Book customer cars in for repair/attention either by telephone or by way of personal visits. As a result of this, prepare job cards and files as necessary * Maintain a filing system for job cards, invoices and associated paperwork and provide vehicle progress reports when requested by the customer * On completion of the job, collect payment from the customer paying particular attention to banking/ security arrangements and the payment of excesses on certain insurance policies * Arrange the booking of courtesy cars for customer useAnother very important aspect of the job is teamwork as you will be working with other colleagues in the bodyshop as well as across other functional areas.

As a Vehicle Transport Coordinator we would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do. With a professional appearance you must also possess problem solving and sales skills: able to identify and fully support development of retail sales opportunities. In addition to this you have experience/knowledge in the automotive industry, be that dealership, accident repair, or sales as well as extensive customer service and administration experience. It is also important that the Transport Coordinator has a basic understanding of profit and loss as well as experience working in fast paced role. We will help and support you with the rest
