Transport Manager - Corby - 40,000 / 45,000
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Transport Manager with immediate effect for our client based in Corby, Northamptonshire.
A CPC National certificate is ESSENTIAL for this role.
Primary function of the role is to manage the execution, direction and co-ordination of all transportation matters within the organisation in an efficient and effective manner.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth running of the department by leading the transport operations functions.
Recruitment, development and retention of staff – both office based and drivers
Ensure that the business is legally compliant with regard to processes and procedures
Lead compliance on incident investigations and resolutions
KPI reporting and statistical analysis
Liaising with both internal and external customers
Tachograph downloads
Skills & Experience:
Proven track record within a similar role – 3PL background desirable but not essential
Knowledge of pallet network operations would be an advantage but not essential
Excellent leadership and influencing skills
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to drive and manage change
Up to date knowledge of legislation
