We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager to join an exciting Courier Business based in Leigh. Due to the recent award of several new contracts they are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to oversee the operation.

Salary - £30,000 to £32,000 dependant on experience and qualifications

Job Role:

Your role within the business will to be to oversee the day to day managing of a fleet of courier vans servicing clients across the UK. You will be responsible for ensuring budgets and targets are met for business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Daily management and booking of courier vans

* Booking and contract management of medical courier vans

* Set up process to include fleet management and fuel monitoring

* Recruit and motivate new drivers and transport support staff

* Driver training on system procedures and hygiene

Experience and Qualifications:

* A minimum of 2 year' Transport Management experience

* Proven experience or running and managing a fleet of courier vans

* National CPC (Desired but not essential)

* Medical courier experience (Desired but not essential)

* High levels of customer service

* Must be health and safety aware

* Financial budgeting coupled with high business acumen
