For a global company well known in the transport industry we are looking for a Transport Manager, fluent in English. The role will be based in London, the beautiful and dynamic capital of the United Kingdom. It’s an international global city that has lots to offer for everyone!

The Transport Manager reports to the Branch Manager. His/her role consists in creating and maintaining strategic partnerships with clients, hauliers and transport providers in order to fulfil the capacity needed on the assigned corridors, and constantly ensure the smooth and flawless execution of all transport requests, so that client SLAs are accomplished and targets achieved.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Source transport partners and providers through all available channels: internal and external databases, web, events, chamber of commerce, etc.;

*

Shortlist and select qualified suppliers through comparative analysis, verifying quality and standards of performance directly (meeting, business visits) and indirectly;

*

Manage commercial relationship with transport partners and service providers;

*

Monitor supplier performance according to internal and external KPIs, the required documents and paperwork, the economic targets, review invoices crosschecking with the data present in the system;

*

Address potential areas of improvement by proactively proposing new solutions and procedures;

*

Maintain the CRM up-to-date in real time, by monitoring and reviewing the data, including complete and accurate information about the providers, preferred routes, conditions and agreements, contacts etc.;

Effective use of the system and its applications (timely cost input, order management, sending communications and instructions etc.);

*

Coordinate with other Company branches at destination to create a round trips

*

Guarantee time-effective communications with clients, sales departments or other Company units in case of delays or problems with collections or deliveries.

We are looking for candidates who have:

*

Previous experience in the same role, between 3 - 5 years

*

Excellent communication skills both verbally and written in English

*

Financial literate, familiar with a budget, margin, profit, turnover, cost control

*

Ability to constantly improve his/her skills

*

Ability to overcome challenges

*

Decisive, Confident and Resilient
