We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our busy
transport office supporting the team.
As a Transport Manager you will lead a team of drivers and transport
planners to ensure excellent customer service and support is provided
to our growing customer base. You will be responsible for the day to
day management of the operation and to ensure driver performance,
legal compliance and adherence to Health & Safety Legislation.
Key Duties & Responsibility.
•Ensure customers receive the highest standards of customer service.
•Motivate and lead a transport team to achieve the highest standards.
•Oversee the day to day operation foreseeing and resolving potential
•Manage driver and transport office staff holidays.
•Implement and develop new procedures.
•Ensure drivers are up to date with compliance and personal training.
•Fully understand and strive towards achieving key KPI’s
•Provide operational support to key Account Managers.
Skills & Experience
•Previous experience within a transport office is essential.
•Experience as a supervisor preferred but not essential.
•Knowledge of Transport Systems.
•Experience planning and routing vehicles
•A good knowledge of the administration within a transport office.
•People management skills.
•Strong knowledge of IT systems to include Microsoft office.
Working hours will be Monday - Friday 05:00 to 15:00 or 10.00am -
8.00pm as the job dictates.
