Fit Out UK are a leading interior fit out contractor and relocation services provider working in the Retail, Leisure, Commercial & Residential Sectors.
We are looking for a Transport Manager to join our Sheffield team to help ensure these projects are managed with the highest degree of productiveness.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves managing a group of vehicles from Sheffield and working on fast paced rollouts to multiple locations.
The role holder will ensure that compliance for Operator Licence undertakings are met and will be responsible for reporting & rectification of vehicle defects.
There are opportunities to support with drive efficient use of vehicles & reverse logistics initiatives. This involves communication with the internal equipment team & arranging equipment collections, potential use of the haulage returns network website to maximise vehicles usage, and liaison with contracts managers on project start & completion dates.
Key Skills and Requirements
As a Transport Manager, you will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, strong Microsoft office skills, be self-motivated, flexible, with the ability to work accurately on an independent basis always giving attention to detail.
Previous transport experience and qualifications at this level is essential, having a construction environment and managing plant experience would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and work ethic with the ability to develop ongoing relationships
