Technical
Formulate and execute the strategic plan to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective support services in relation to the workplace, learning environment and provision of FM services.
Ensure agreed planning activities and delivery plans are monitored and reported on in-line with agreed SLA’s.
Development of SD&A wide policies and procedures, SLA’s, Procurement and Contract Management.
Hard FM and Asset Management/Corporate Real Estate – Property Strategy development and implementation, Options Appraisals and Business Cases, Property Management and Property Transactions (e.g. leases, occupancy agreements),Property Evaluation (6 facet assessment), Planned Preventative Maintenance, Response Maintenance, Forward Maintenance Plan and Investment Plan, Project Management for Capital and Maintenance Works, and Premises Health and Safety (e.g. Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos, Legionella).
Workplace Strategy development to maximise space utilisation and ensure work needs are supported in an efficient and effective manner. This encompasses Space utilisation measurement and analysis, Workplace design and transition management.
Provision of Soft FM Services – Reception, Meeting room administration and setup, catering, cleaning and waste management, mail services, travel, reprographics,security, and office supplies.
FM information and data management systems – The development,implementation and ongoing management of the Service Desk, Room Booking Systems, Estates Asset Management Software, Fire Risk Manager software, Access Control systems and Environmental Management Systems.
Review and manage fleet management and 3rd-party supplier processes and services to ensure a cost effective and service orientated solution is in place
Leadership and management of the Facilities team involving –
* recruitment & selection

* mentoring & coaching
* In partnership with EHS Manager ensure that all EHS & COVID-19 processes are implemented and adhered to consistently across all locations

Effective delivery of project and operational requirements within agreed deadlines
Highlight all constraints/issues that may impact on delivery of deadlines and project timing plans

Create an environment of open communication
Effectively communicate Facilities strategy & operational requirements to teams
Ensure a 2-way flow of communication to eliminate ambiguity & ensure that responsibility is clearly defined and delegated accordingly
Facilitate and lead regular strategic communication briefings as defined by Corporate and/or Divisional Executives

Qualifications
Essential
Qualified in Facilities Management, Surveying, Engineering or related subject.
