Big cats make big money at auction

ALL 112 Jaguars entered in a special Jaguar Cars sales held at ADT Measham were sold, fetching a total of £3.4 million at an average £30,000 a vehicle. The event attracted 70% of Jaguar's dealer network and the cars on offer were low mileage vehicles direct from the manufacturer composed largely of 1995 and 1996 M and N-registered models under 10,000 miles.

The top price fetched was £48,000 for a 96N Daimler Double Six Century finished in spruce with silk white leather interior. Other strong sellers included a 96N XJS 4.0 coupe automatic which realised £32,200, a 96N XJ6 3.2 four door automatic which achieved £28,800 and a 96N XJ6 4.0 Sport automatic which sold for £33,000. A 95N Jaguar XJ12 6.0 LWB finished in spruce sold for £36,950.
