BMW claimed a hat-trick of titles at the 11th PHH Vehicle Management Service's Motor Manufacturers Awards with Mercedes-Benz and Volvo each claiming two titles and Nissan Motor GB winning its first fleet industry award in its five-year history.

The 10 awards also featured a tie for the first time with BMW and Volvo sharing the Environment Award. Other awards were won by Peugeot, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. The views of more than 1,000 fleet operators were gathered to find the winners of this year's awards, which were presented on Thursday in London.

In presenting the awards PHH managing director David Knight said: 'The Motor Manufacturers Awards provide a valuable opportunity for the motor industry's main customers - the fleet operators - to give manufacturers direct feedback on their products and services. It is good to see that standards in the very important areas of safety, environment, service and security are still rising.'

A cheque for £5,000 was presented to BEN - Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund - in respect of funds raised by the Awards.
