Southern to sell lease operation

SOUTHERN Water has put its vehicle leasing subsidiary, West Midlands-based Topmark Vehicle Contracts, up for sale following a decision by new owner Scottish Power to concentrate on core activities.

Southern Water hopes that the business, which employs 75 people, will be sold as a going concern. Topmark operates 1,719 vehicles on behalf of Southern Water with the fleet of 666 cars, 908 vans and 145 hgvs. In addition it operates an external leasing fleet of 1,094 hgvs and a rental fleet of 316 hgvs.
