Lex sells off 10 dealerships

LEX Service has sold 10 of its 30 less profitable dealerships, raising £10m and says it has 'encouraging interest' in a further 10.

And this week the company said it expected to meet its target of 62 franchises and a reduction in capital employed of £40 million by the end of the year. Meanwhile, Lex Service has acquired the Ford dealership in Slough which has an adjacent territory to its existing Ford dealership in Maidenhead thus giving the company sole representation in a significant area in the Thames Valley.
