PEUGEOT fleet customers will benefit from a new system which aims to deliver vehicles within two days of orders being placed. Peugeot has launched the 3-D system - demand driven distribution - which gives dealers access to 15,000 vehicles stored at four compounds in the UK.

When customers order cars dealers will be able to access the central stock list with standard specification vehicles being delivered to the dealers from the compounds within 48 hours.

In the past, cars have been allocated to dealerships by a wholesale process which required them to predict an entire month's sales in advance. With 40,000 variants in the Peugeot range and with the average dealer ordering 40 cars a month there was a risk of mismatch between sales and production.
