Swift helps charity effort

SWIFT'S new operations manager for its Scottish rental division Andy Neilson has helped Securicor Omega Express and the local SCOPE squad raise more than £1,500 for charity.

Swift, the vehicle rental specialist subsidiary of the Transport Development Group, supplied a Ford minibus as the support vehicle for the SCOPE squad which successfully completed the Western Isles Challenge, one of Britain's most demanding endurance races.

The minibus transported all the four-man team's kit and equipment on the marathon three-day relay event across the length of the Outer Hebrides. It involved running/cycling a total of more than 200 miles, canoeing 30 miles and climbing more than 15,000 feet.
