A NEW player in the vehicle disposals market is set to enter the fray with the establishment of the largest independent auction centre in the UK. Premier Motorauctions opens its doors in August at a purpose-built site alongside the new A1/M1 link road currently under construction near Leeds.

The 40,000 sq ft development on a six acre site is the first project on the Cross Green industrial park and will be the largest single site motor auction in the country. With two auction areas, a covered section to accommodate 250 cars and a restaurant, the new site will initially create 45 new jobs.

The team behind Premier - managing director Keith Elliott and co-directors Gary Earle and Paul Dyson - have assembled a team with more than 100 years' motor trade experience behind them. Elliott himself was previously managing director of Motor Auctions - Leeds, Earle is ex-BCA while Dyson was formerly fleet sales manager at Motor Auctions.
