EMAP Automotive has appointed Mark Catterall editor-in-chief of Fleet News and its monthly sister publication, Fleet Car. Catterall was previously editor of industry newspaper Automotive Management, acting editor of Motor Trader, and news editor of Carweek. Prior to this he was an English teacher in Barcelona. He has written for many newspapers and journals, including the Daily Telegraph, the Independent and the Economist Intelligence Unit.

'The fleet business continues to thrive in the UK,' he said. 'I'm looking forward to contributing to the growth of two such highly-regarded, market-leading titles covering such a vibrant industry. Ashley Martin will remain in day-to-day control of Fleet News as editor, and together we are planning some exciting developments in the near future to improve the service offered by the fleet industry's leading weekly to both readers and advertisers.'
