Nissan is to launch a side airbag system

NISSAN is to launch a side airbag system in its flagship QX model range in Europe next autumn and across volume passenger models by the end of 1998. No-more-than-250-words

The initiative is just one of Nissan's moves to improve and expand safety technologies and equipment, while another system includes the development of a sophisticated seatbelt pretensioner which for the first time incorporates a load limiter which reduces the force applied to an occupant's chest area.
