FLEET manager demand to drive the new Volkswagen Passat has resulted in the manufacturer adding a further seven sessions to the 14 sessions already planned.

The fleet launch of the Passat will be held at Blenheim Palace from October 3-11 with each day split into sessions with 60 fleet managers at each session. However, all those sessions are now 'sold out' and now each day will feature three sessions with Volkswagen expecting up to 1,300 fleet chiefs to have driven the car by the end of the launch.

A delighted Volkswagen fleet marketing manager Bernard Bradley said: 'We are absolutely stunned by the level of customer interest in the new Passat. It is quite incredible. We don't want to turn customers away and we could not extend the launch so we had no option but to add additional sessions.'
