LEASE PLAN'S dedicated small fleet leasing scheme is finding favour among small businesses seeking fixed cost financing of their transport requirements. Launched earlier this year, the Pinpoint scheme aims to use big fleet expertise to meet the needs of smaller operators.

The scheme is available to companies who want to lease between one and 30 vehicles and is primarily targeted at self-employed business people who want the tax benefits associated with leasing. Clients signed up to date include Wilkinson Print & Design, Auto Decorative Paints and Schelde Heating & Power.

Wrangler subsidiary Nutmeg Europe recently took delivery of a Vauxhall Vectra and BMW 318 after the Pinpoint scheme was recommended by its parent company - a major Lease Plan client. Chief executive David Staveley said: 'We formerly leased our cars on a rather ad-hoc basis, but always felt that the leasing companies we used treated us as less important than their large corporate customers. Pinpoint has completely changed this experience, giving us a breakdown of all expenses each month which allows us to budget accurately. We are also confident that we will never have to support any hidden costs or pay for expensive garage repairs should any of our vehicles experience problems.'
