Lease Plan announces new pan-European leasing deal

LEASE Plan has won a solus pan-European contract to supply vehicles to high street fashion retailers Gap Group. Under the new arrangement, Lease Plan will supply vehicles to Gap personnel in the UK, Germany, France and Holland over the next three years through its Open Calculation scheme.

Additionally, Lease Plan will provide insurance, accident management and breakdown and recovery services for Gap's entire European fleet - the first time the retail chain has sourced these services from a leasing company. The company previously used a number of leasing companies but opted for the savings available via a single supplier after a review of its needs.

Initially covering 130 cars, the contract is expected to expand significantly as Gap seeks new markets throughout Europe - particularly in the former Eastern Bloc. The deal is one of 40 pan-European contracts which Lease Plan handles through its UK and European offices.
