A THREE-month fuel card trial involving 10 vehicles and their fleet drivers has resulted in Milk Marque introducing Overdrive fuel cards to its entire 120-strong fleet. The dairy farmers' co-operative which markets about half the milk produced in the UK, introduced the cards this month.

One of the major reasons for the switch was the quality of the management reports, according to Spencer Davis, Milk Marque's head of value management and audit. He said: 'Recent fuel price increases mean that indentifying the best value outlets is vitally important. Moreover we have an environmental policy in all our activities, so the monitoring of vehicle performance is also important. During the trial we were impressed by the clarity and accuracy of information provided on Overdrive reports and quickly saw the opportunity to help our drivers improve their fuel purchasing efficiency.'
