THE 1997 Fleet Motor Show is to be opened by Peter Agar, the deputy director-general of the Confederation of British Industry. Agar's acceptance of the invitation to the open the show, which will be held at Silverstone from April 29-May 2, underlines the importance of the event as a 'business-to-business' show.

A total of 122 companies have so far booked to attend the show. The latest companies are: BP Oil UK, Car Link UK, ChipsAway International, Federal Signal, Help Cars, Island Plastics Industries, Motor Contract Options, which was previously Universal Salvage, and Visscher Caravelle. Meanwhile, a total of 2,723 fleet decision makers have registered their intention to attend the show and the next advance registration form will appear in Fleet News shortly.
