COMIC Relief is targeting company car drivers with a new, more subtle version of the comedy 'nose' for cars. The huge red plastic hooter has been replaced by a more discreet ball which can be stuck on to front or rear windscreens with an aerial-style mounting.

Comic Relief fund-raisers have approached several leading fleet operators in a bid to persuade them to purchase noses en masse for their employees, but company car drivers can express their support by buying the noses at Texaco service stations. The noses cost £1.75, with more than a pound of the purchase price going to the charity which to date has raised £112 million.

Among the fleets who have ordered noses are DHL, Britvic, Smithkline Beecham, Cowie Interleasing and PHH. Fleet operators wishing to buy aerial noses in bulk for their drivers should contact Nick Priestnall on 0171 592 2726 or Dawn Richards on 0171 592 2638.
