The move comes following a period of sustained growth in TDG's vehicle rental and contract hire business, which has seen sales double in two years. The company believes creating a single national identity for its business within the rental sector will ensure a strong market presence and reinforce the competitive edge of having a parent company with financial strength and buying power.

TDG Vehicle Rental is planning to expand its combined fleet of 2,500 cars, minibuses, vans and trucks this year through a £20 million fleet investment programme. It is also planning to add to its extensive UK depot network using existing TDG sites.
