NISSAN fleet sales director Simon Rutherford is bound for pastures new after six years in the fleet industry. He is leaving the department he set up in 1991 to become director, operations support following the departure of Jon Beveridge.

He will be replaced by Simon Carr, who was Nissan's fleet planning manager between 1992 and 1995 and more recently marketing programmes manager following a stint with Nissan in South Africa.

Rutherford, whose new role will include responsibility for the dealer network and customer relations, said he was sure his successor would consolidate on Nissan's progress in the fleet market in recent years.
