New diesel engines for UK

TWO new ECOTEC direct injection diesel engines were launched at the show by General Motors. They will appear in the UK in the Vauxhall Vectra, Omega and the Sintra people-carrier which went on sale on Friday (March 7).

Vauxhall launched its new range of ECOTEC direct injection diesel technology with the 2.0-litre 82bhp engine debuted last autumn in the Vectra. It will shortly be joined by more powerful engines with a higher turbo boost - a 100bhp 2.0-litre engine and a 2.2 115bhp version.
