HARPUR Forecourt Services, which delivers back office software solutions for the retail petroleum industry, has undergone a management buyout for an undisclosed sum from the Harpur Group. The move follows Harpur UK's decision to concentrate on its core business. In January it took back responsibility for sales and marketing for Overdrive and Dialcard fuel cards.

Carl Clump, managing director of the Harpur Group, said: 'It is Harpur's firm intention to build on its position as the UK's specialist fuelcard operator. Harpur Forecourt Services does not naturally fit into our strategy. We are pleased we have reached this arrangement with the HFS management team, who will continue to use the Harpur Forecourt Services name for the immediate future.'

HFS has more than 600 systems installed in the forecourt operations of both major oil companies' owned and managed sites and independent dealers, throughout the UK and Eire.
