ACCIDENT management company AutoManagement has developed a new computer system which will enable fleets to access images directly from desktop PCs and to cut accident management documentation to a virtually paperless level.

The system has been developed following extra investment by Evans Halshaw Vehicle Management Services, which bought the company this year, and the appointment of Allen Ager as senior engineer with special responsibility for IT.

Ager said: 'The video images produced by bodyshops have in the past only been viewable using a £700 graphics card which needed to be added to your PC. We have developed a way for fleets to view them on any desktop PC with a colour monitor. It's an important step forward because it means that the customer will have a method of monitoring the performance of the accident management company from first-hand evidence.'

He said the system also offered an advanced level of customer reporting which would enable, for example, data to be formatted into the details needed for the claims forms of insurance companies.
