Vauxhall gears up for launch of new Astra

VAUXHALL is gearing itself up for the launch of the all-new Astra with an extensive preview exercise for key corporate customers. Leading fleets and leasing companies have already been involved in a consultative capacity to shape the development of the new car - due to hit the showrooms next spring.

First pictures are expected to be released in the autumn, prior to a debut at next year's Fleet Motor Show, but Vauxhall will be taking groups of selected fleet operators to view the Astra before then.

Early feedback from fleet managers suggests Vauxhall has taken a more radical approach for the new lower medium contender than with the Vectra, which was criticised for being too conservative.
