FLEETS are planning for an R-plate bonanza, buying more cars, and more expensive models. Autoglass' quarterly Car Confidence Index has revealed that spending on company cars is set to rise by nearly 30%.

The survey indicated that 37% of fleet drivers will receive updated vehicles, and that the average amount spent on new models will be £14,340 compared to £11,284 just three months ago. This means the UK fleet market will inject £15.9 billion into the motor industry through the new car buying blitz alone.
