New Hyundai city car for UK

HYUNDAI has confirmed it will import a new micro-car to the UK towards the end of next year. The MX is a compact city car with a high-roof derivative to provide the maximum amount of interior accommodation while occupying the minimum amount of roadspace.

After a debut at the Seoul Show, the finished production version of the MX will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Powered by a new family of small capacity four-cylinder engines, the MX provides full five-seat capacity along with modest luggage space to take care of bags and cases.

Hyundai UK marketing director Ken Lee said: 'We shall be showing the MX to our existing and potential customers to gauge how it might meet the differing needs of the UK market. We shall be looking to provide high levels of specification and comfort within a very good value package for cost-conscious yet demanding motorists.'
