Fleetlease double profits in best ever year

FLEETLEASE has reported a 100% rise in profits during its most successful year to date. Pre-tax profits increased by 109% to £1.9 million on turnover up 14% at £36.5 million in the year to March 31. During the same period, the company's fleet increased from 7,000 to 11,000 vehicles thanks to deals with Kent County Council and accountants KPMG, together worth 3,400 vehicles.

Parent company Hitachi Credit UK is preparing for a London Stock Exchange flotation later this month which is expected to generate extra cash to expand the business further.
