TRANSCOLD Refrigeration has secured a cool deal for 54 refrigerated box bodies for quality meat distributor Fairfax Meadow. Work is already beginning on the conversions at TCR's Poole headquarters and the contract is worth over £600,000.

Vehicles chosen are 47 Iveco 3.5-10 chassis and seven and a half tonners on MAN chassis. Fairfax has specified moveable and stowable interior bulkheads and all the vehicles are to be equipped with British-made Hubbard refrigeration units. All benefit from TCR's Icelite continuous-joint build method.

TCR managing director Michael Holmes commented: 'The Fairfax order is a welcome vindication of our long and costly development programme for the Icelite system. Our order book is standing at record levels.'
