ACCIDENT management company AutoManagement has negotiated a new deal to save customers around 40% on 'original equipment' body panel prices. The agreement with SVG - which supplies independently-produced panels and distributes the Q-Part insurance-approved range - is currently being trialed with LCV fleets.

AutoManagement operations director David Thacker said: 'Panels tend to account for around 23-35% of the cost of a body repair, so a saving of more than a third compared to OE prices could mean very substantial savings for our fleet customers. At the moment we are just using the parts with LCVs but the arrangement seems to work well and should soon be extended to cars. The quality is very high and ideal for almost any application.'

SVG makes products for vehicle manufacturers and the aftermarket at a custom-built factory. More than 6,500 product lines - of which 3,000 are Q-Part branded - are supplied overnight to a network of distributors which then delivers at least twice daily to repairers throughout the country.
