Enviro training to be offered with Vauxhall Master Hire

ENVIRONMENTAL driver training is part of a new package being offered to all companies taking delivery of contract hire vehicles from Vauxhall Master Hire. Included within the contract hire rate, the 'greener' driving initiative can add up to major savings for fleets, according to Vauxhall.

Expert BSM trainers take company car drivers, on receipt of their car, through the cost-saving benefits of correct acceleration and gear changes. The two-hour in-car course also highlights the importance of proper journey planning and keeping the car in good condition, particularly making sure services are carried out on time.

A Vauxhall spokesman said: 'Fleets following simple guidelines will not only be helping the environment, but also making huge cost savings. The fuel economy benefits of making acceleration that bit gentler will probably surprise many fleet managers and drivers. By keeping the car in a well-maintained condition it ensures it is more environmentally friendly, and will have a better residual value.'
