MITSUBISHI has signed one of its largest yet fleet deals worth a potential £38 million to supply two sporting associations with more than 2,600 cars a year, it was revealed at the British International Motor Show.

The Japanese manufacturer is to become the number one car supplier to the Professional Footballers Association in a unique partnership that is expected to be worth £30 million. In another one-off deal Mitsubishi UK will supply vehicles to the majority of Welsh and British clubs in the Rugby Football Union.

Under the PFA scheme each member will be able to purchase a Mitsubishi vehicle at a preferential rate through Mann Island Finance via options that include Personal Contract Purchase and other schemes. The deal is open to all PFA members and their families and anticipated sales of Mitsubishi vehicles are expected to top 2,000 a year.
