THE Institute of Car Fleet Management is holding its annual National Members Conference on Thursday, November 12 in the Westminster Suite at the Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. Sponsored by Ford, the conference, 'Driving for Excellence', will feature presentations from Sir Tom Farmer, chairman and chief executive of Kwik-Fit Holdings, John Coward, president of the Retail Motor Industry Federation, and Norman Donkin, director general of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association.

Maureen Allgood, international fleet co-ordinator and UK fleet and travel manager of Philips Electronics UK, will present a paper on managing a pan-European fleet', Gareth Armstrong, of Dumfries & Galloway Police, will give an insight into managing a police vehicle fleet, and Penny Hadfield, RAC fleet director, will report on the RAC Scholarship which is linked to the ICFM Diploma. Mike Wear, Ford's director of fleet operations, will give a keynote address on global fleet business.
