MASTERDRIVE Leasing and Rental has won a contract to supply vehicles to national charity United Response. The Putney-based charity, which provides residential and day care for people with learning difficulties and mental health problems, operates a mixed 120-vehicle fleet including small saloon cars, MPVs, vans and minibuses.

It has previously bought vehicles outright and dealt with all its own maintenance issues. However, in a solus deal Masterdrive will now provide 'used qualifying vehicles', with minimal previous mileage, with extended warranty benefits and delivery within 14 days.

So far vehicles supplied include Peugeot 406 and Citroen Xantia under four-year contract hire agreements with full maintenance. The intention is to extend contract hire throughout the fleet as further vehicles come up for replacement.
