FLEETS look certain to maintain their current policies in the face of a confusing Government transport strategy, according to an exclusive Fleet News/Kwik-Fit Fleet survey of almost 150 fleet managers and company car drivers.

The survey revealed that far from providing a clear vision of the Government's future intentions, Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown's Budget has simply fuelled uncertainty.

In the absence of a clearly-defined, coherent Government policy, fleet managers look destined to maintain the status quo, ignoring the Chancellor's indirect taxes and incentives.
